Who will be looking after me at Norwest Hearing?

At Norwest Hearing, you will be working with university qualified Clinical Audiologists. All of our Audiologist clinicians have extensive experience evaluating hearing and fitting hearing aids.

My 2 year old is not talking clearly. Can you assess their hearing?

Yes. At Norwest Hearing we have the facilities to conduct Puppet Show testing for infants as young as 7 months developmental age.

Will the results of my hearing test be sent to my family doctor?

Yes. A formal report shall be sent to any referring doctor/health professional on your behalf.

Are all of your hearing aids digital?

Yes, all hearing aids supplied and fitted at Norwest Hearing employ multi-channel digital technology. Digital technology gives your Norwest Hearing audiologist the ability to fine-tune your hearing aid to fit your unique hearing profile and lifestyle.

Do you offer a trial period for new hearing aid purchases?

Yes, Norwest Hearing offers a 30 day trial period. If you are not satisfied with the hearing aids at the conclusion of your trial period, you may return the hearing aids for a refund less a small trial fee.

What’s the warranty period on your hearing aids?

At Norwest Hearing, most of our hearing aids are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 to 3 years from date of purchase.

Do you have a maintenance program for your hearing aids?

Absolutely. When you purchase hearing aids from Norwest Hearing, you automatically become part of our exclusive maintenance program, for no extra fee. Therefore you pay no more for clinical support from our Audiologists throughout the warranty of your hearing aid.

The Norwest Maintenance Package provides hearing aid users with essential services such as cleaning and performance verification, audiometric evaluations, otoscopic examinations, in situ analysis and validation, and prescription modifications throughout the warranty of your hearing aid.

How can you help my tinnitus?

The first step is to arrange for a formal hearing and tinnitus assessment at Norwest Hearing. With the results of this assessment, our audiologists will be able to work with you to implement a path of appropriate clinical management. This may include uses of simple techniques to help you manage the tinnitus through to the Neuromonics treatment plan for tinnitus evaluation and management.

Are their any subsidised services available for pensioners?

Absolutely. Norwest Hearing is accredited to provide hearing services to eligible persons under the Voucher Program through The Office of Hearing Services. The Government funded program enables eligible persons to receive free hearing assessments as well as fully or partially subsidised hearing aids and devices.

To be eligible for the Voucher Program you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident 21 years or older and you a holder of one of the following:
1.  A Pensioner Concession Card Holder
2.  Receiving Sickness Allowance from Centrelink
3.  The holder of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card issued for all conditions
4.  The holder of a DVA White Card issued for specific conditions that include hearing loss
5.  A dependent of a person in one of the above categories
6.  A member of the Australian Defence Force or
7.  Part of the Australian Government funded Disability Employment Services (DES) – Disability Management Service and you are referred by your Disability Employment Services case manager.
